Well, it has been a long time since I've posted here. Let's make a very long story very short. The Hapkido Institute of Self-Defense closed with Covid way back on 2020. Unfortunately, at the exact same time, one of my immediate family had a major medical issue, which was not covered by insurance. We persevered. I picked up training again late in 2021 with an old friend at his club, continuing to teach Hapkido and also train and develop practical Gumdo with his Gumdo class. Thank you Master Tony Monti! Where I trained for the next several years. Unfortunately that club was 1.5 hours from my home and my available students were not able to make the regular trip there. Recently, Master Monti was promoted at his day job and was forced to move to Arkansas to take this promotion. Through Master Monti, I had developed a relationship with the River Valley Martial Arts studio in Wilmington, IL. I was primarily working with their Hapkido Black Belts.
