The Grundy County Special Education Cooperative (GCSEC) is proud to announce Mrs. Erica Schramm as its new Assistant Director. Mrs. Schramm will succeed Carol Senica, who is retiring this December after more than 15 years of dedicated service to the cooperative, its students, and the community.
Mrs. Schramm brings over two decades of specialized experience in education and administration to the executive leadership team. Most recently, Mrs. Schramm has served as the Program Coordinator for the HOPE Program at GSW High School and the Early Childhood Program at Gardner Grade School. Her extensive responsibilities have also included supervising resource programs across Gardner, Braceville, South Wilmington, Mazon, and Nettle Creek, as well as organizing essential preschool screenings for Grundy Countyβs youngest learners.
"I am excited and honored to serve as the next Assistant Director of the Grundy County Special Education Cooperative," said Mrs. Schramm. "My journey in special education began at GCSEC as a teacher before transitioning into the role of Program Coordinator. I am grateful for the opportunities I've had to grow alongside such dedicated colleagues, and I look forward to continuing to support our incredible students, staff, and families of Grundy County in this new role as Assistant Director!"
The GCSEC community extends its deepest gratitude to Carol Senica for her 15-plus years of unwavering commitment and leadership, and warmly welcomes Mrs. Schramm into her new executive role as they look toward a bright future of continued student support and advocacy.
Outside of her professional life, Mrs. Schramm enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Mike, and their two children, Molly and Jack, both students at Minooka Community High School.
