This week’s Flag Circle Friday (our weekly newsletter) was inspired by a new report on why boys are walking away from sport, and what they actually want from it.

This summer, our Sportsfield team did something special. They made it about more than winning, celebrating sportsmanship, leadership, effort and simply being a good teammate through the Sportsfield Token System.

And the boys responded.

The activity is the vehicle. The boy is the point.

Camp Awosting, WHERE BOYHOOD LIVES.

In the woods.
On the waterfront.
Between best friends.
In scraped knees, belly laughs, bad ideas and great stories.

Long live summer. Long live boyhood.

Postcards from Awosting: September

The ropes course is quiet, the waterfront’s closed, and the flag’s still flying over Bantam Lake. Peaceful, but too quiet without you.

Wish you were all here.
