Every child is different, and their therapy should be too.

There isn’t one approach that works exactly the same way for every child. UABL provides individualized support that meets each child where they are and takes their unique needs, strengths, and goals into account.

Because when it comes to therapy, one size doesn’t fit all.

🎓💙 It's Official! Stephanie is an RBT! 🎉

Please join us in congratulating Stephanie on officially passing her Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) exam! 👏

Since joining UABL in January, Stephanie has quickly become an incredible asset to our team. She's dependable, hardworking, always willing to lend a hand, and the kind of teammate everyone appreciates having around. Most importantly, the kids absolutely adore her, and it's easy to see why!

Stephanie may have had a few nerves going into her exam (okay, maybe more than a few 🤣), but she put in the work, pushed through those nerves, and SHE DID IT!

Stephanie, your dedication to our learners, your team, and your own professional growth has not gone unnoticed. We are so proud of everything you've accomplished in such a short time and can't wait to see you continue to grow!

“Sensory processing” is how our brain receives, organizes, and responds to information from the world around us. 💙

That can include things we see, hear, touch, smell, taste, and feel through movement and body awareness.

Everyone experiences sensory input differently, and understanding those differences can help us better support each child’s individual needs.

Two things can be true at once.

You can be grateful AND overwhelmed.
You can love your job AND need a break.
You can love your child AND find parenting hard.
You can be making progress AND still struggle.

This World Mental Health Day, we’re recognizing that life isn’t always one feeling or the other. Sometimes, we’re experiencing both at the same time, and that’s okay.

To our families, caregivers, and team: Give yourself permission to acknowledge the hard moments without feeling like they take away from the good ones.

Both can be true. 💛

🎉 Happy Birthday, Ms. Courtney!! 🎉

Today we're celebrating someone who has been part of the UABL family since the very beginning — Ms. Courtney! 💙

There are some people who simply make everything better, and Courtney is one of them. Whether she's supporting our learners, mentoring therapists, coordinating schedules, or jumping in wherever she's needed, she does it all with patience, compassion, and a heart that always puts others first.

As our RBT Supervisor and Scheduling Coordinator, Courtney is one of the people who helps keep UABL running day in and day out. She is dependable, intentional, and someone our team can always count on. Her leadership happens in both the big moments and the little ones—from encouraging a new therapist to celebrating a learner's progress or simply being there to listen. She truly goes above and beyond for our kiddos, families, and team every single day.

Outside of UABL, you'll usually find Courtney grabbing Starbucks, spending time with her husband and dog, Raisin, curling up with a good book, or cheering on her favorite football team, the Baltimore Ravens. 🏈💜

Courtney, thank you for being such a steady, positive presence and for everything you do to make UABL the place it is today. It truly would not be the same without you. Your dedication, leadership, and genuine care do not go unnoticed, and we are so incredibly grateful to have you as part of our family.

UABL’s school consultation services provide an opportunity to collaborate with educators and others involved in a child’s support, helping create a more connected approach across settings.

Because when the team works together, everyone has a better understanding of how to support the child.

🎉 Happy Birthday, Ms. Sara!! 🎉

Today we’re celebrating the one and only Ms. Sara — and if you know Sara, you know there is NEVER a dull moment when she’s around! 😂💙

From her hilarious sense of humor and contagious laugh to her silly personality (and unmatched animal sounds), Sara brings the best kind of energy to UABL every single day. She has a special way of keeping our kiddos smiling, laughing, and having fun while helping them learn and grow along the way.

Sara’s journey started in the schools before eventually leading her to ABA and UABL — and we are SO glad it did! One of her favorite parts of being an RBT is watching her learners reach milestones, build meaningful connections, and engage with their peers in new ways. Her goal for every session is simple but says so much about who she is: have fun and make her learner smile. 💙✨

Outside of UABL, Sara loves spending time with her family, riding horses, watching rodeos, attending music festivals, and hiking with her husband. 🐴🎶🥾

Sara, thank you for bringing so much laughter, silliness, heart, and positive energy to our clinic. We are incredibly grateful for everything you do for our kiddos and our team!

A little reminder for today: give your child time to respond. 💙

After asking a question or giving a direction, try pausing before repeating yourself or jumping in. That extra moment can give your child the time they need to process, think, and respond.

Sometimes, a little more wait time makes a big difference. ✨
