Want to jump in freezing cold water for a good cause? ⛄
Want to help raise money for Special Olympics?
The Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be participating in the polar plunge and invites all athletes, coaches, and faculty to join.
Everyone is welcome to jump with us (this includes faculty, coaches, student athletes, other UMM students, non UMM students, friends, parents, siblings, etc).
It is on February 25th in Alexandria
Register online to jump ASAP
Set your goal to $75 (you can always go and raise if you are going to raise more money)
Money can be raised online, cash, or checks. (Checks should be made out to Special Olympics Minnesota” or “SOMN.”) Cash and checks will be turned in on the day we jump when you check in.
Half of the money we raise will go into our account to run other special Olympic events in the next years, like the unified basketball tourney!
We'll send out more information as we get closer to the jump
How to register:
Go to polar plunges website (http://www.plungemn.org/) and on the home screen find the event that says Alexandria on February 25th. Click on it.
This will bring you to a page with information. Click register at the top of it.
Create an account. You can manually create it, or use your facebook or google to make one. If you have registered before, you may use your username and password for this part from previous years. This is necessary to register.
You will then go to step two. This will hold your personal information, shirt size, and an emergency contact.
On step three, you will choose the Alexandria event on the 25th.
Once you select Alexandria, you should be able to be in step four. Selected "I am joining a team". Our username is Morris Cougs and the password is ummcougs
Accept terms and review! You are now registered!
