Due to safety and behavior concerns, all elementary and middle school students must be accompanied by an adult at MCHS Football games. Students not accompanied by an adult or without their High School IDs will be turned away at the gate.

Please see the attached flyer for more information on our Annual Supply Drop off Night Event on Tuesday, August 18th! Families will have an opportunity to bring in school supplies, meet the teacher(s), explore the school, take fun back to school photos and more.

This event is for all students in grades kindergarten through 8th grade, there are various start times and doors to enter; check the flyer for this info.

Please note:
-New families to District 54 should go to the cafeteria (enter door 24) for a Back to School presentation.
-Kindergarten parents/guardians can attend an orientation at 4pm or 5pm in their classroom.
-Preschoolers will attend an orientation on their assigned date, more information will be sent home.
-Student schedules and teachers will be posted in your PowerSchool parent portal the week of August 10th. Please do not call the office to ask for this information.

The Morris Police Department will host National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 5-8 pm in Goold Park! The event is free to the public and the first 500 kids will receive a goodie bag and Foam Finger! This year’s theme is “Game On, Morris!” with a sports theme. Kids are encouraged to wear the uniform of the team they participate in (Warriors, Cheer, Baseball, etc.) or of their favorite pro team. The evening features a blow up obstacle course and other carnival type games, face painting, gaga ball, raffles, free food (Laki Ice, Operation BBQ and ServPro, while supplies last), interaction with the Morris Fire Department and Grundy County Emergency Management Agency, and booths/sports challenges.
