Today, our Lady Mohawks battled their way to a hard-fought 6-5 victory over Shelby in the Regional Semifinals. The girls kept their composure, played outstanding defense, and came through with some big hits against a phenomenal pitcher.
Unfortunately, our season came to an end in the Regional Finals against a talented Ravenna squad. The Ravenna Bulldogs have built an incredible program, and we are proud to have handed them their only loss of the season. We wish them the very best as they continue their pursuit of a state title.
Our coaching staff would like to thank our entire community for the unwavering love, support, and dedication you have shown this program. The turnout today, and all season long, was incredible. We truly cannot put into words how much your support has meant to us.
To our athletes: thank you for a season to remember. Back-to-back conference champions, undefeated in conference play, District Champions, Regional Finalists, and only two losses all season. Your hard work, determination, and belief in one another made this year something special. You have proven time and time again that there is no limit to what you can accomplish when you commit yourselves to a common goal.
Lastly, a special thank you to our five seniors. Thank you for your leadership, dedication, and the legacy you leave behind. You helped elevate this program to new heights, and your impact will be felt for years to come. We are incredibly proud of each of you and cannot wait to see what comes next for you. No matter where life takes you, remember that our field will always be a part of your story. Our home field will always be your home too, and there will always be a place for you in the Mohawk Softball family.
