What a wonderful week we had at MLL! ❤️
This week, we welcomed many children into childcare for the very first time. There were new faces, new classrooms, new routines, and lots of big feelings—but as the week went on, we watched our Little Learners begin to settle in, build relationships, and find their new normal.
Our staff found their rhythm, too, and I couldn’t be more appreciative of the work they put in this week.
Everyone understands that raising children is hard, but I don’t think we always stop to recognize just how demanding the profession of childcare or education can be. This week, I watched our staff pour so much of themselves into these children. They comforted tears, gave countless hugs, learned routines and personalities, encouraged independence, cleaned messes, So. Many. Messes, handled big emotions, celebrated little victories, and worked incredibly hard to make sure every child felt safe, loved, and cared for.
Did you know some of these educators interviewed with Jordan and I in February and waited until September to start working?! That’s what this job meant to them. 🥺🥺🥺
So, I have a little challenge for everyone next week:
Wherever you send your kiddos on Monday morning—whether it’s MLL, another childcare center, preschool, school, a private sitter —take a moment to thank their teacher or childcare provider. Send a kind message, bring them a little treat, or simply tell them that you appreciate what they do.
Those small gestures mean more than you know.
To our MLL staff: thank you for giving our Little Learners such a wonderful first week. We’re just getting started! I hope you know just how much you all mean to me. 💛
Intentional Learning. Genuine Care.
