Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend and is looking forward to WVU's first BLLING speaker event! This Wednesday (24th March) from 3:00 - 4:30 pm we will host our first BLLING guest speaker, Dr. Brea.

This conversation will focus on culturally responsive practices for monolingual and multilingual SLPs. I am so excited that we will be able to explore culturally responsive practices through this discussion and have someone as open and knowledgeable as Dr. Brea to guide us through this learning opportunity.

Great events happening soon!!

In the coming weeks, the WVU Undergraduate Research Association will be hosting a couple of great virtual events! To learn more about how URA will adapt and function this semester, attend their meeting tomorrow at 5pm 📆

Tune in on Thursday, October 15th to hear Dr. Babb of the Undergraduate Research Office present opportunities available across the nation that are sure to enhance your skills through exposure to new perspectives and in-depth engagement in varying fields of research.

Next Thursday, October 22nd, Dr. Fabien Goulay of the WVU Department of Chemistry will discuss how to dissect complex scientific articles in a matter of minute while retaining crucial information necessary for complete comprehension.

On October 1st and 7th, the WVU Office of Undergraduate Research will be hosting our annual networking event, which is open to all undergraduate students who aspire to get involved in research or mentor other undergraduate researchers 📚🤓

Students will have the opportunity to speak with leadership personnel from the Research Apprenticeship Program, the Mountaineer Undergraduate Research Review, the Undergraduate Research Association, WVU’s chapter of the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation, and even our own Beckman Scholars!
