Are you an undergraduate student in physics and astronomy looking for a paid research opportunity this summer? Look no further. We have an NSF-funded Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program here at West Virginia University in the prestigious WVU Department of Physics and Astronomy. Areas of research include space and laboratory plasma physics, magnetic reconnection, pulsars, supernova remnants, telescope commissioning and more.
Program dates are May 18-July 24, 2026

The WVU Center for Gravitational Waves and Cosmology (GWAC) Postdoctoral Fellow will carry out a research program that is synergistic with current research activities in the Center, which includes theoretical and/or observational studies of compact objects, the interstellar medium, general relativity, gravitational waves, radio transients, and galaxy formation and evolution. The GWAC Postdoctoral Fellow will also contribute to Center outreach and education efforts.

Undergraduates in the arts, humanities, social sciences, and STEM all are encouraged to apply to engage in scholarly activity (research/creative work). This is a PAID opportunity!!
