🎃🍂 Something BIG is dropping at Ridgedale!

Our Chargers are gearing up for our annual Eco-Friendly Pumpkin Drop on October 29! Students are putting their creativity, problem-solving, and engineering skills to the test as they prepare for this exciting STEM activity!

🔨 We are looking for donations of biodegradable materials to help bring our pumpkin-protection designs to life! Please see the flyer below for details on how you can help support this hands-on learning experience.

A special THANK YOU to Capital City Group and Central Van Lines for supporting our pumpkin drop!🧡

Let’s make this year’s drop un-fall-gettable! 🍁

Please note: This is a student-only event due to space limitations and safety considerations.

🎭✨ 2nd Grade had a "practically perfect" time enjoying the theatre production of Mary Poppins! 🦜☂️

What a wonderful opportunity to appreciate the magic of live theatre, celebrate the arts, and cheer on some of Ridgedale’s very own! ❤️🖤

We’re so proud to support our talented community members and give our students experiences that inspire, entertain, and create lasting memories.

🏈 DOWN, SET, HUT! IT’S TIME TO LEARN! 📚

10/08/2026

Thank you WVU Medicine Center for Nursing Education for bringing hygiene education to our students today! 🧴🫧🤲🏻

Today, faculty member Randi Johnson and her clinical group from our Fall 2026 cohort visited Ridgedale Elementary RidgedaleChargers to help kindergarten and first grade students learn how to keep germs from spreading!

The children practiced proper handwashing and cough and sneeze etiquette, then used Glo Germ and a black light to see how thoroughly they washed their hands. ✨

We’re proud to see our nursing students put their teaching skills into practice and help children in our community build healthy habits!

This outreach initiative is a partnership with the Infection Prevention team at WVU Medicine Golisano Children's, bringing hand hygiene education to elementary schools across Monongalia County.

Thank you to Ridgedale Elementary for welcoming our group and making learning about good health so much fun! 💙💛
