The Last Day of LOA. It was wonderful, fun, full of love and yet bittersweet. Though we have had a wonderful two years, the season is over. We know the Lord has a perfect plan for each of the students and families. We pray the Lord blesses you as you continue to raise your children to honor the LORD! We will miss you, but look forward to the day we will all worship our King face to face!

Intentional Parenting Thought:

“As long as they are reading…”

I hear many parents say this, but consider this verse. What you allow them to “put in” matters.

Matthew 6:22

The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light.

If you allow them to read junk, they will have a mind of junk. If you want them to grow, give them books that feed the mind!

L - have good Literary quality
I - Idea rich (not just facts)
V - Virtuous
I - Inspiring
N - Narrative (story form)
G - Generational (you are likely to enjoy it too)

George Muller has been an inspiration as we seek to honor God in Living Oaks Academy. He never strove but prayed; and the Lord revealed His plans to Mr. Mueller and he walked in them. God supplied all his needs and was glorified. Will you pray with us for the upcoming year? That we will not strive, but rest in the Lord as we seek His kingdom first; and that in doing so God will be glorified. 🙏🏼

Charlotte Mason education, with its short and varied lessons, is ideal for children with quick moving minds. Charlotte often talked about “ideas” being the food of the mind and how minds need to be well fed with variety to stay engaged. If you have a student that gets bored easily and you’d like to know more about this life-giving relational education please don’t hesitate to ask us!

It's hard to believe that we are two weeks away from our second year! God has blessed us beyond measure and we have doubled our enrollment. (Though we still have spaces open for K-8th grade.)

Staff starts tomorrow so please be in prayer for each of them as they prepare their rooms and their hearts to minister and educate the incoming students!

We consult with Liz, Emily, and Nicole with "A Delectable Education" for our school. These ladies love the Lord and they love the method that He has given us through Charlotte Mason... A Code of Education in the Gospels. They also pray for us. Together they have just released the first podcast of this upcoming season and it is a wonderful resource for moms. If you have time while driving, folding laundry or doing dishes check it out. It is long so break it up in chunks if you need to, but I hope it will bless you. And I love Liz's last statement... :)
