🍎 We dropped in on the Mounties at lunchtime, and there was plenty to smile about!

Good food, great conversations, time with friends, and a whole lot of school-day energy filled the cafeteria. These everyday moments are an important part of the school experience—and we love seeing our Mounties enjoying them together.

We are so proud of our students for a great second week of school! And today, every student received a special Mountaineer Middle “I Love My School” shirt!

We hope our students wear their shirts proudly and show everyone just how much they love being a Mountaineer! 💙🖤

Students sampled a variety of books, exploring different genres, authors, and stories as they discovered new titles that caught their interest. It was a fun way to encourage reading, spark curiosity, and help students find their next great book! 💙📚

Who knows? One of these “tastes” may have turned into a new favorite! 😍📖

🔬📦 Mystery Box Lab in Mrs. Rowan’s Class! 📦🔬
Students in Mrs. Rowan’s class at Mountaineer Middle School put their scientific inquiry skills to the test with a fun Mystery Box Lab! 🧪

Working like real scientists, students practiced the process of scientific inquiry by making observations, asking questions, forming hypotheses, collecting evidence, and using their reasoning to draw conclusions—all while investigating what was hidden inside their mystery boxes! 🔎

Hands-on activities like this make science engaging and meaningful while helping students develop the critical-thinking and problem-solving skills they’ll use far beyond the classroom.

Today was all about “poppin’ by” to celebrate the incredible teachers and staff who serve students across our community! 🍿💙
A huge thank you to Chestnut Ridge Church for helping make this special celebration possible! We are so grateful for your generosity and support of our teachers, staff, and students.

More than 2,000 bags of popcorn were delivered to 34 schools—what an amazing way to show appreciation! 🍿
