🎉 Congratulations to Victoria Taylor!

We're thrilled to announce Victoria Taylor as the new Assistant Director of the West Virginia Family Engagement Center (WVFEC)!

Victoria joined The EdVenture Group in 2021 as a Program Coordinator, working directly with schools across Mercer, Webster, Braxton, and Upshur counties, coaching teams and partnering with educators and families to strengthen family engagement. She's helped grow our L.I.F.E. program from 40 educators in its first cohort to hundreds of participants across five cohorts since. Along the way, she earned her Master of Social Work from WVU and grew into a leader known for listening deeply, building trust, and turning possibility into action.

Help your students explore future careers! Future Ready Families is open for the 2026–2027 school year. This program helps WV elementary schools (Grades 3–5) connect students and families through career exploration lessons, hands-on activities, and family events.

Participating schools receive 16 career exploration lessons, Student Career Passports, our new Miss P: Explore with Me video series, and $500 to host a Family Career Event. 💼🎓

This meeting will focus on Chronic Absenteeism, a topic that touches every school and every family. We'll dig into what's driving absenteeism across West Virginia, hear strategies for re-engaging students and families, and talk about how family engagement plays a role.

Join us in celebrating Senior Program Manager Jennifer Wotring's birthday today! 🎉

We are so grateful for the heart, humor, and dedication she brings to our work every day. Jennifer wears many hats at EdV, supporting after school programming, professional development trainings, and managing our CLEAR CoP community, which supports middle school educators in understanding the value of career readiness before high school.

Jen is known for making the team laugh, always putting family first, and being our go-to person for events and logistics. She's also our personal detective, always getting to the bottom of things!

And yes, that throwback photo is real, Jen once reigned as Queen Silvia at the Mountain State Forest Festival in Randolph County. Royalty then, royalty now! 👑

Join us in celebrating Program Coordinator Peyton Jarvis's birthday today! 🎉

We are so grateful for the passion, genuine spirit, and fun she brings to our work every day. Peyton leads our Future Ready Families Program, a career exploration program for students in grades 3-5, and is vital in supporting and developing family engagement programming across West Virginia.

Peyton is known for her couponing skills, she can stretch a dollar like nobody else. She also recently got married 💍 this summer to her husband Blayne! Outside of work, you'll usually find her with her dog Dottie by her side.

Today we're celebrating the amazing person she is and the impact she makes every day. Happy Birthday, Peyton! 🎂🤠
