As we concluded our experience at WLC, our students gained a deeper understanding of the importance of being servant leaders. Throughout the week, they developed LTS (Living to Serve) plans, which are projects designed to make a positive impact in their communities and chapters when they return home. These plans reflect their commitment to service, leadership, and creating meaningful change.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Burke County Public Schools for making this incredible opportunity possible. Your support helped provide our students with an unforgettable experience that will continue to inspire them long after WLC has ended.

On Tuesday, we had the opportunity to take several of our students to the Washington Leadership Conference in Washington.
During the first few days of the trip, students toured the United States Capitol and visited the Library of Congress. They also had the chance to explore several of our nation’s most significant memorials, including the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial, World War II Memorial, Thomas Jefferson Memorial, and the Abraham Lincoln Memorial .
A special thank you to Burke County Public Schools for making this trip possible. Your support is helping develop future leaders and inspire the next generation. We are grateful for the investment you make in our students and the opportunities you provide for them to learn, grow, and lead.
We will be posting the second half of our trip soon!

Today, our chapter was blessed with an invitation to observe a tree dedication at Freedom Park. The purpose of this dedication was for us to celebrate the highs and lows of 250 years of America, as well as to look forward to what the future of this great community and country will bring. The words of E.M Tiffany came to mind from the FFA creed, "...achievements won by the present and past generations of agriculturists, in the promise of better days through better ways, even as the better things we now enjoy have come to us from the struggles of former years."
Thanks to Fitzgerald's Nursery for donating this wonderful hybrid maple, and to all involved for us to have this opportunity. .studentlife
