What if your next career is in a school?

When you think about working in education, you probably think of only teachers. But schools need teachers plus all kinds of other workers to help students learn, grow and succeed.

Join us for the Education Career Expo on Thursday, Oct. 29, at Patton High School and discover what a career in education could look like for you or your student.

Middle and high school students: Get a look at career paths that could start now and continue through college.

College students: Learn about pathways into teaching and other careers in schools.

Adults: Explore meaningful career opportunities, including current job openings, whether you’re considering a career change or looking for a way to make a difference in your community.

You’ll hear from leaders in education, learn about different pathways into the field and have the chance to talk one-on-one with people who can help you figure out where you might fit.

🍔 Free cheeseburger meal starts at 4:30 p.m.

🎤 Keynote speaker: Charles Williams, principal of Draughn High School, at 5:30 p.m.

Then, explore information booths featuring specific education career opportunities, programs and current job openings.

Congratulations to Brooke and Cameron, our LMS Players of the Week!

Brooke is our Cheer team player of the week! Her dedication to the Cheer Team has been exemplary. She is always determined and not afraid to learn new material, and doesn't back away from a challenge when it presents itself. Brooke's strength and determination have helped her team become stronger and more successful. Her perseverance and never-give-up spirit show what it truly means to be a strong teammate! Way to go, Brooke. We are so proud of you!!

Cameron is our Football Player of the Week! Cameron is a key part of both our offensive and defensive lines, rarely coming off the field and always giving 100% effort! Wednesday night, Cameron stepped up to play center when called upon and helped make a big block that allowed his team to score a touchdown. Cameron's hard work, toughness, and willingness to do whatever his team needs show what it truly means to be a great teammate! Way to go, Cameron! We are so proud of you!!

Congratulations to Kerrigan and Jenna as they are our players of the week!

Coach Watson says that Kerrigan has been an anchor for our defense this year. She always gives 100% and at the end of the games, she finds the energy to finish strong. She never backs down from a challenge even when the opponent is twice her size. Kerrigan always has a positive attitude and a smile on her face.

Coach Michael says that Jenna earns the Player of the Week for her outstanding effort, consistency, and teamwork this week! She stepped up when her team needed her, made key plays, and continued to show a great attitude on and off the court. We’re so proud of the energy and dedication she brings to the team!

🏐 Player of the Week Spotlight: Ivy! 🏐

Ivy has been an incredible volleyball player and a huge asset to our team this season as our libero! She brings hustle, energy, and determination to every practice and every game. No matter what the situation is, Ivy is always cheering on her teammates, encouraging others, and helping create a positive team environment.

One of the things that stands out most about Ivy is her desire to constantly improve. She is always looking for ways to get better, asking questions, taking feedback, and putting in the work to grow her skills.

We are so proud of the effort, positivity, and leadership Ivy brings to the court each day. Keep up the great work, Ivy! 💜🏐
