Grab-and-Go Meals are available for anyone ages 0 to 18 starting Thursday, Oct. 3.

Each weekday until school reopens, stop by one of the four sites from 11am to 1pm to pick up a free breakfast and free lunch for any child ages 0 to 18:

Please drive through the car rider line to pick up the meals. Children do NOT have to be present.

Liberty Middle School is located at 529 Enola Rd. in Morganton.
East Burke Middle School is located at 3519 Miller Bridge Rd in Connelly Springs.
Mountain View Elementary School is located at 805 Bouchelle St in Morganton.
Glen Alpine Elementary School is located at 302 London St. in Morganton.

We had an awesome day at the Letterland Ball! After learning about all the characters and their sounds this year, it was time to meet our favorite characters in person!!
HUGE shoutout to Valdese Rec Center for letting us to use the Valdese Tiger Gym for the Letterland Ball! It was the perfect location!
Shoutout to WPCC Early Childhood Education for helping us make the Letterland characters come to life!
And to McDonald’s of Valdese for helping us feed our volunteers.

HUGE shoutout to WMNC - Big Dawg, 92.1FM for donating solar eclispe glass for our preschoolers. They went above and beyond to make sure these little ones could experience something special. Thank you so much from some future scientists and their teachers.

We are excited to announce Burke County Public Library is participating Neighborhood Forest's Free Trees for Kids program again this year! Register your child through the link below, or scan the QR code. *MUST REGISTER BY THURSDAY, MARCH 14, NO EXCEPTIONS! Saplings will be available toward the end of April at the Morganton Public Library ONLY. The shipment is scheduled to arrive the week of Earth Day.
