We’ve been ALL IN for Agriculture Education Week!

Across the state, our young leaders have been giving back and growing their knowledge by teaching younger students where their food comes from and what agriculture looks like in their everyday lives. From learning about the pumpkin plant to making pumpkin pie, these hands-on experiences are helping the next generation connect with agriculture! 🎃

And the learning doesn’t stop there! Our students have also had the opportunity to explore their own futures through farm visits, school visits, and hands-on experiences that give them a closer look at careers in agriculture.

That’s what being ALL IN for Ag Ed is all about! Learning, leading, and inspiring the next generation. 🌱

The UCHS FFA volunteered again this year for the 5th grade Agricultural Safety Day held at the Union Co Fair grounds . FFA members led 5th grade students through various stations where they learned about rural / agricultural safety . FFA members then participated in a mock ATV accident and life flight training .

Today for All in for Ag Ed Week UCHS FFA traveled to see the 4th graders! We taught them about the definition of Agriculture and a Farmer. We talked to students about the time and responsibilities that farmers have take when a farmer plants as seed, all the way to harvesting the crop for food! We made pumpkin pie in a bag to give students an example of a real life crop currently being harvested!

Farmer’s don’t forget to stop by and see us at the CGB Elevator tomorrow!

‼️Attention Union County Farmers‼️

Union County FFA wants to show our appreciation to the hard working farmers in our community on National Farmer Appreciation Day!

On September 23rd from 9:00am-2:00pm we will be set up at CGB Elevator in Uniontown handing out Hopeful Harvest Buckets to local farmers!

These buckets will be filled with snacks, refreshments and other harvest essentials! Please come see us!

This weekend UCHS FFA and UCMS FFA went to the Greenriver Region Freshman Leadership Conference. At FLC 8th and 9th graders learned valuable leadership skills to bring back to our chapters.
