Gold Star Moms, Dads, and Families

One Step Closer (Therapeutic Horsemanship) Gold Star Mothers and Families "Day-At-The-Ranch" is almost here!

SOS Presidio of Monterey (POM) and One Step Closer (Therapeutic Horsemanship) ranch, Morgan Hill, CA have selected Sunday, September 27th for our Annual "Day-At-The-Ranch". Exclusively honoring the Gold Star Mothers & Families of Fallen Service Members, throughout the Central Coast and NORCAL Bay Areas.

This free event runs from 11:00am to 2:00pm with live music, horseback riding, lots of games and a Pumpkin Patch for the kids! Veteran Rider Groups, Army Color Guard, and more! Local caterer Fire4Hire will generously be providing a delicious BBQ Lunch for everyone to enjoy! OSC has booked the band Harmony Lane for the day! Blending the essence of Rockin’ 50’s and iconic 70’s classics into a unique instrumental experience for all to enjoy.

Our summer pilot sessions for Reading with Romeo & Friends have come to an end and today was our debrief meeting to assess the outcome and lay plans for the future.

On behalf of OSC, the veterans we serve, and the V.A. Staff we offer our deepest gratitude to the Farrington Historical Foundation for their generous grants.

The Farrington Historical Foundation has been a great partner, for many years, providing life changing financial support to OSC programs in particular our military outreach.

OSC has served ~1500 veterans at no cost to the veterans nor the government. 100% of OSC expenses are covered by grants and private donations. The Board and Members of the Farrington Historical Foundation understand the importance and have seen the benefits for themselves.

We were honored to have their representatives attend our 20 year celebration on June 28, and honored to receive their grants. Thank you!

This sweet Mare Gypsy had cellulitis last year and still has the remnants of a swollen lymphatic system. She has had wonderful treatments and body work sessions. Our Veterans love being part of her healing journey.
