🎉☀️ What an unforgettable day! Our Family Fun Fest last week was a massive success, and it was beautiful to see our entire community gather together to celebrate.
From morning until afternoon, the energy was high as we connected across generations of the CSMH family. We loved getting to:
👶 Meet our incoming Kindergartners! A huge welcome to the future Class of 2026/2027—we can’t wait to see you on campus this fall!
🙌 Welcome back our amazing alumni! So many former students stepped in to volunteer, cover booths, and fill open spots when we needed them most. Once a Cheetah, always a Cheetah!
❤️ Celebrate with current families, students, and staff. It was the perfect way to wrap up the year together.
🎯 The Big Highlights:
The absolute joy of students getting to dunk their favorite staff members in the dunk tank! 💦

A true rite of passage! Today, our CSMH 8th graders stepped up for their Exit Interviews, reflecting on their journeys, personal growth, and time at our school.
Presenting a comprehensive portfolio of their work to a panel of staff, parents, and community members, these students spoke from the heart about their passions, struggles, and triumphs.
Here are just a few of the inspiring moments:
🥐 One student shared how they discovered a lifelong love of baking during their 6th-grade passion project!
📚 A couple of students opened up about their past struggles with reading, celebrating how the support they received helped them become the confident readers they are today.
🧪📐 Another student proudly claimed they “don’t like science and math”—only to enthusiastically shine while presenting an incredible project that seamlessly combined math, writing, and science! A huge THANK YOU to our amazing volunteers who took time out of their busy schedules to sit on our panels, listen, and encourage our students.
We are incredibly proud of all of our 8th graders. We know they have been fully empowered to continue to shine as they head off to high school!

This morning we hosted our Volunteer Appreciation Celebration with the theme “Many Gifts, One Heart” (inspired by Encanto!). Our theme reminded us that just like the family Madrigal, every single one of our volunteers brings a unique, magical talent that keeps our school community strong. From a high-flying Kinder High-5 welcome tunnel and beautiful hand-crafted tissue paper flowers to sweet student musical performances and delicious Mexican-inspired cookies, it was a day full of joy.

To every single volunteer who gives their time, energy, and love to CSMH—whether you could make it to the party or not —THANK YOU.

To echo Principal Pfefferlen’s beautiful reminder: no act of volunteering is too small. Every single bit adds up to make our school the incredible place it is. We love our community!

Our hearts (and stomachs) are absolutely full after an incredible Staff Appreciation Week! 🍎💙

To our amazing community: THANK YOU. We are blown away by the tremendous show of appreciation you showered us with this week. From the moment we walked into the building, we certainly felt the love.

It was a week full of surprises that made every staff member feel like a superstar:

🚪 Creativity Overload: Stunningly decorated doors that brightened our campus.

💌 Heartfelt Notes: Sweet messages and cards that we will treasure.

☕ Venti Vibes: Custom Starbucks drinks delivered right to our desks!

🥗 Gourmet Eats: Delicious breakfasts, sweet treats, stocked break room and a nutritious salad bar lunch.

Rain? 🌧️ What rain?

Our 3rd graders proved that nothing stands in the way of protecting our planet! As part of their Endangered Species Project and service learning goals, the entire grade headed to Seabright State Beach for an Earth Day beach cleanup.

Despite the weather, these young conservationists stayed focused on their mission: keeping our oceans clean and local habitats safe for the species they’ve been studying. We are so proud of their grit and their hearts for service

Yesterday’s Talent Show was nothing short of spectacular! Our students took the stage with so much courage and creativity—we are still beaming with pride at the incredible talents shared with our community. 🎤💃✨

A huge round of applause for:
⭐ Our Student Performers: You practiced hard, braved the stage, and truly shone!
⭐ Ms. Liza: Thank you for volunteering your time to coordinate this entire event and providing this vital opportunity for our students to grow.
⭐ Five Points Studio: A special shout-out for donating our beautiful new stage sign! It provided the perfect backdrop for our stars.
⭐ Our Volunteers: To the parents and students who worked behind the scenes—we couldn’t have done it without your hands-on support.
⭐ Our Community: Thank you for showing up, cheering loud, and being the best audience our performers could ask for!
