Science That Sticks! πβ‘
Learning comes to life when students get the chance to explore, experiment, and discover for themselves.
Recently, students at our Catalyst ExpandEd Learning Redwood City site became scientists as they investigated the power of static electricity through a hands-on STEAM activity.
After creating artwork with tissue paper "hair," students rubbed balloons on their own hair to generate static electricity. They were amazed as the tissue paper lifted into the air, seemingly floating without being touched!
Activities like these encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning while helping students explore real-world science concepts in a fun and engaging way. π§
