Check out the highlights from the Oct. 13th School Board Meeting
The MVEA School Board Watch group for 26-27 has been created to monitor, observe, and summarize Moreno Valley Unified School District School Board meetings.

By tracking and reporting on public comments, board policy updates, and board decisions, the committee aims to keep MVEA members, educators, and our community informed, while ensuring that the rights of MVEA educators and student success remain at the center of District governance.

MVEA Bargaining Update - Day 3

Our bargaining proposals continue to be guided by careful analysis of the District’s budget.

As negotiations continue for the 26-27 bargaining cycle, MVEA remains focused on securing a fair agreement that reflects the value of our educators and the work they do every day!

Our next bargaining sessions are on October 29th and November 4th.

WEAR RED on both days to support solidarity of MVEA and email pictures to [email protected]!

Advocates
We want to give a special shout-out to Gina for sharing her experiences from this year’s CTA Special Education Conference!
Thank you, Gina, for your leadership as MVEA’s Director of Special Education and for representing Moreno Valley alongside our passionate team of educators. Your dedication to supporting, advocating for, and serving our most exceptional students inspires all of us. As CTA President David Goldberg shared with our team, staying organized and united is how we create real change for our schools. When we rise, our students rise!

10.1.26 MVEA Bargaining Update
Here are updates from our first two bargaining sessions. When proposals were exchanged on salary and benefits on 9.25.26, we’re showing you the numbers: what MVEA proposed and what the District proposed.

This is more than a new look. It’s our commitment to keeping members informed, engaged, and connected to the work happening at the table.

Take a look. Talk with your colleagues. Ask questions. Stay engaged. Because bargaining doesn’t belong only to the people sitting at the table. It belongs to all of us.

In Solidarity,

MVEA Bargaining Team

Thank you to Board President Brandy Clark and Board Member Justin Jackson for taking the time to join us at our MVEA Rep Council meeting. Their willingness to engage directly with our leaders and members to hear their perspectives means a lot to MVEA!

We look forward to continuing the conversations and working together in the future for our students, educators, and Moreno Valley community!
