MSU American Center at Guangxi University

Establishment of international institutional partnerships
Development of graduate, post-Baccalaureate, and dual degree articulation agreements
Faculty assistance with the development of international education opportunities (study abroad, internships and service learning)
New international student orientation
International student compliance consultations (including OPT and CPT)

Dear international students,

Our very own Jessey Reed (ESL Teaching Assistant) will be presenting his history research about the American Civil War at the Library today at 1pm. Refreshments will be provided. If you are in town, please go support Jessey today for his presentation.

Morehead State University’s Camden-Carroll Library and Department of History, Philosophy, Religion and Legal Studies will be co-sponsor a round-table event highlighting student research of the Civil War Public History at the Petersburg National Battlefield.

The event will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, April 23 in the CCL Commons Area.

There will be student presentations on the Battle of the Crater, the cultural legacy of the battle, archaeological survey conducted on the battlefield, discussion of the items recovered and a question and answer session with the project director.

Have you ever wondered just how beautiful the region in which we live is? Come see for yourself. You are invited to join us for a short trip to Lockegee, a regional rock formation overlooking Daniel Boone National Forest. Fall is a wonderful time to visit Lockegee to see the beauty of the trees changing color. MSU faculty members, graduate students and the Cosmopolitan Club will take you to this overlook on Thursday, OCTOBER 22nd . We will leave from the International House at 5:30 pm and return around 8:30 pm. Come early to the international house for pizza starting at 4:30. Please confirm your attendance as there are only 20 seats available.

There is no cost for this event. However, you MUST RSVP to Dr. Masterson by Tuesday, Oct. 20 th , 4:00 pm to reserve your place. Please send your name and student ID number to Dr. Masterson at [email protected].

The trip will be cancelled in the event of rain.
