💙💚 BIG NEWS, NAVIGATORS! 💙💚

We are SO proud to share that McBrayer Elementary earned a BLUE rating—the highest color rating possible—on the Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) Student Survey! 🎉 This is an incredible improvement from last year’s orange rating!

We are also proud to share that our overall school rating is YELLOW this year! 💛 We are continuing to grow, celebrate progress, and work together to make McBrayer the very best it can be!

Our students’ voices matter, and this achievement reflects the positive experiences we are working to create every day. Thank you to our amazing students, dedicated staff, and supportive families for being part of the McBrayer family. Together, we are making a difference! 💙💚

Once a Navigator, always a Navigator! 🧭💙

🚔📚 Learning about rules and procedures came to life! Our second graders had a special visit from the Kentucky State Police as they connected their Social Studies learning to the real world. Students got to see the officers, uniforms, and police cars while learning about the important role officers play in keeping our communities safe. What an exciting and meaningful learning experience! 💙👮‍♀️👮‍♂️🚓

💙👟 Mrs. Madden’s second grade class welcomed students from Rowan Academy to help practice the important skill of tying their shoes!
Through patience, encouragement, and perseverance, our students had a wonderful opportunity to learn from their older peers.
It was a sweet reminder that little acts of kindness can make a BIG difference!
We’re so thankful to Mrs. Bloomfield and her students for spending time with us and helping our second graders build confidence and independence, one bow at a time! 💚👟

Red Ribbon Week is coming! ❤️

Mrs. Paige’s second graders kicked off a new EL Education reading module with a Picture Tea Party! 🫖🖼️

Our Navigators practiced looking closely at pictures, noticing important details, and sharing their observations with classmates. We’re growing as thoughtful observers, active collaborators, and effective communicators as we begin an exciting new module exploring the world of PALEONTOLOGY! 🦖🦕💚🧭

We can’t wait to dig deeper and discover what we can learn from the fascinating world of fossils and the scientists who study them! 🦴🔎

They go above and beyond to make our cafeteria a special place for our students. We love how much heart they put into everything they do! Our kids are so lucky to have them! ❤️🐊

💙💚 We had a great day of professional learning at McBrayer!

Our administrators and interventionists led sessions, where teachers and staff had the opportunity to choose the learning that best fit their needs and areas for growth.

I love seeing our staff take time to learn, grow, and find new ways to support our students! When we continue to grow as educators, our students benefit. So proud of our team and their commitment to getting better every day!

Navigating to Success! 💙💚
