🏆 The grade at each school with the largest increase in attendance will earn a CUPCAKE PARTY! 🧁🎉

Weekly Athletic Schedule for 10/5-10/10

- Boys golf will travel to Bowling Green for the KHSAA State Championship on Tuesday and Wednesday, good luck to them!

- Cross Country will travel to Morgan County on Tuesday for the EKC.

- Boys Soccer will play in their last home game of the season on Tuesday against Mason County.

- Volleyball will face Montgomery County at home on Tuesday night as well.

- Football travels to Johnson Central on Friday night.

- Cross Country will be running in the Area 7 Meet on Saturday at Mason County.

- Postseason Soccer will start this weekend! Girls soccer will be playing Fleming at Fleming on Saturday morning at 10am. Boys soccer will face off against Fleming as well right after that game at noon.

🌟 Celebrating Excellence in Rowan County Schools! 💚
Congratulations to Haley Arrasmith, Spanish teacher at Rowan County Senior High School, on receiving the 2026 KWLA Rising Star Award!

This award recognizes teachers who demonstrate excellence during their first five years in the classroom. Haley’s recognition is a proud moment for our school and district!

She will be honored at the KWLA Fall Conference, October 9–10 in Louisville. Join us in celebrating Haley and this outstanding achievement! 👏💚

Congratulations to Haley Arrasmith! Haley teaches Spanish at Rowan County High School. She is the 2026 recipient of the KWLA Rising Star Award for teachers already demonstrating excellence during their first five years in the classroom.

Help us honor her in person at the KWLA Fall Conference, October 9-10 in Louisville, KY. On-site registration will be open at 11:00am on Friday and 7:30am on Saturday at the Holiday Inn Louisville East-Hurstbourne, 1325 S Hurstbourne Pkwy.

✨ Meet Our New Literacy Coach — Rhonda Banks! ✨

We’re excited to welcome Rhonda Banks to Rowan County Schools!

Bringing strong leadership, experience, and a passion for literacy, she will work alongside teachers to strengthen instruction through coaching, collaboration, professional learning, and classroom support.

As a literacy coach, her role is to be a partner and resource for teachers—helping connect research and best practices to everyday instruction, explore effective strategies, and use student learning to guide next steps.

We’re excited to have her supporting our educators as we continue building strong readers, writers, and lifelong learners across Rowan County Schools. 💚📚
