➕✖️ Math Is Everywhere! ➗📏

Math learning doesn’t stop when students leave the classroom. It happens every day at home and throughout our community!

This month, we’re encouraging Rowan County families to find the math in everyday moments. Cook together and measure ingredients, count change at the store, practice telling time, build with blocks or LEGOs, play a math game, compare prices, or look for shapes and patterns around you.

Together, we can show our students that math isn’t just something we do at school. Math is all around us! 💚⚔️

📚 Poetry & Leadership in 4th Grade! ✨

Rodburn Elementary Peacocks with Ms. Tessa's 4th graders are exploring the power of poetry through their EL Education module, discovering how poets use imagery, word choice, rhythm, and perspective to communicate ideas and emotions.

Along the way, they’re connecting their learning to Leader in Me, especially Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood. Students are reading closely, listening to different perspectives, and using their own voices to express their thinking.

Reading deeply. Finding their voice. Growing as leaders.

We are proud to recognize Ella Craig, Vice President of Rowan County FFA, for attending the National FFA Washington Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C.! 🇺🇸🌟

The Kentucky FFA Foundation sponsored 100 students from across Kentucky to attend this incredible leadership opportunity. We are excited to see Ella represent Rowan County FFA and grow as a leader through this experience!

📚🌎 A Window Into Our Classrooms: Literacy Spotlight
Clearfield Elementary- 3rd grade readers are diving into their EL Education module and discovering how literacy can take them far beyond the classroom!
Through their reading of Rain School, students are exploring what school and learning can look like in another part of the world. As they read, discuss, and dig into the text, they are building knowledge, strengthening comprehension, asking questions, and learning from one another.
This is the power of high-quality instructional resources: students aren’t just learning to read, they are reading to learn about their world. 💚📖
