Talent Search has been a part of the educational landscape in Eastern Kentucky for nearly 60 years. Our mission remains as important today as it was in 1968: to serve students who have been historically under-resourced, particularly economically underserved students and potential first-generation college students.
And we are growing.

๐ Expanded Opportunities for Students
Through college preparation, career readiness, academic support, financial literacy, mentoring, and hands-on experiences, we help students develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to successfully transition to life after high school.
This new five-year award allows us to build on nearly six decades of partnerships with students, families, schools, and communities โ while expanding our reach to even more students across the region.
We are deeply grateful to Morehead State University, our target schools, our community partners, our TRIO colleagues, and most importantly, the students and families who make this work matter.
Since 1968, TRIO Talent Search has been opening doors.
For the next five years, weโre ready to open even more. ๐๐
