From guiding students in the TLC to leading a classroom of her own, our alumni continue to make us so proud! Today, we are shining the on Natalie, a former star peer coach.

Natalie’s passion for education didn't stop at graduation—she earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees right here at Morehead State University! Now, she is passing that knowledge on and inspiring the next generation every single day as a classroom teacher. We love seeing how our former peer coaches continue to change lives, both in the center and in the classroom. We are so proud of all she has achieved!

It is always a great day when we get to reconnect with our amazing alumni! Today, we are putting the spotlight on a geological engineer, aka an absolute rock star of the Tutoring and Learning Center: Ashton Killen Mills!

Whether she was helping students master concepts at MSU or analyzing the earth to keep communities safe, Ashton has always been a rock star to us. We are so proud of all she has achieved!

¡Siempre es lo más destacado de nuestro día cuando podemos reconectarnos con nuestros increíbles exalumnos! Today, we are putting the spotlight on Holly, a former stand-out of the Tutoring and Learning Center.

Holly tutored at the TLC from 2021 to 2023, focusing primarily on Spanish and Linguistics. During her time at MSU, she was also named a Fulbright Scholarship alternate. She has authored and translated the 2023 bilingual poetry book Despertar | Awakening, featuring contemporary Latin American poetry. She credits her wonderful experience tutoring and learning how to explain concepts at MSU with helping shape her path. We are so proud of all she has achieved!

Today’s is on Dr. Brent Hutchinson, a former standout member of the TLC team who has taken their leadership skills to the international stage as an Obama Fellow!

Brent’s time at the Tutoring and Learning Center was marked by a deep commitment to lifting others up—a quality that has clearly defined their career since graduation. Being selected as an Obama Fellow is an incredible testament to their hard work, compassion, and dedication to creating positive change.

We love checking in on our alumni, and today we’re shining our light on Parker Poulos! During their time as a TLC tutor from 2019–2021, Parker was a standout who guided fellow students toward success.

With a degree in Physics and a concentration in Astrophysics, Parker has always had a knack for understanding the stars. Now, as they complete their PhD at Kansas State University, they are focusing their research on how to improve the learning experience for others. Parker, you were a star to us then, and you’re a star now!

We are so thrilled to shine the spotlight on an incredible TLC alum: Kelton Crank! During their time at MSU, Kelton was a true force for student success, balancing their duties as a peer tutor with remarkable leadership across campus.

From serving as the SGA Executive Vice President to taking the stage as a student speaker at the Spring 2023 Commencement, Kelton’s dedication to the Eagle community was unparalleled. We are so proud of the impact he made here and cannot wait to see what they achieve next!
