🚀The Journey Starts Now!🚀
Yesterday, Alumnae at Morehead State University and The Craft Academy at Morehead State University began their first day of the Fall Semester and - for many of them - the first day of their journey into Space Systems Engineering at MSU!

This is exactly how SpaceTrek strengthens the aerospace workforce in Appalachia! These young women now have the opportunity, resources, and confidence to obtain the knowledge and skills necessary to be a part of the aerospace workforce! And their journey began with what they learned at SpaceTrek!!

We also want to give a huge thank you to the staff of the Space Science Center and Craft Academy, including Micheal Combs and Jose Garcia, for joining us to celebrate and launch these amazing young engineers into the next step of their journey!!

Today, the participants of the 2026 WVWC SpaceTrek two-week summer program, graduated.

During the ceremony, they were recognized for their accomplishments, their bravery, their strength and their sisterhood.

With the closing of this ceremony, these 24 amazing girls, became SpaceTrek alumna and a part of history forever. Everyone here at SpaceTrek is incredibly proud of these young individuals. Go, chase your dreams and reach for the stars.

🩷🥊 Nikki Bryant: Fighting for Success Be EXTRAordinary! 🥊🩷

Last night, welcomed former two-time middleweight World Champion boxer, higher education leader, and S.N.H.U Director of Compliance Nikki Bryant!

shared her powerful story of overcoming adversity through resilience, perseverance, and faith. As a domestic violence survivor, she encouraged our girls to believe in themselves, to keep pushing through difficult moments, and recognize their own strength and potential that lies within themselves. These young women were moved by Nikki's story and gathered close to hear more. Gaining inspiration and strength for their presentations this Friday morning.

As these young engineers continue working toward their college and career goals, challenges are inevitable but Nikki reminded them that every challenge can become an opportunity to grow and achieve EXTRAordinary success!

✨👏I Can Do Hard Things👏✨

On Thursday, the young engineers of made the final revisions and preparations for their mission presentations Friday morning!

Participants practiced their public speaking, received feedback and critique from their peers and instructors on their presentations, and put in the hard work of making their mission data accessible to a broad audience!

Instructor Chloe Hart spoke with 2025 Alumna and Residence Staff member Adrianna Harris about her experiences during this challenging stage in the SpaceTrek Program!

According to this is the difficult, behind-the-scenes work that leads to success! Success and achievement don't occur on their own, but often the hard work that goes into them is overlooked!

The pressure is high, nerves are fraying, and it can easily feel overwhelming, but overcoming these challenges only makes the sense of accomplishment greater when you're on the other side!!

As the participants of prepare for their mission presentations on Friday, we want to celebrate how much these incredible young women have grown in their confidence, their enthusiasm, and their ability to Let Their Voices Be Heard!!

Whether it is speaking in class, networking with professionals, being interviewed on camera, sharing their thoughts and opinions, or collaborating with their team - these young engineers have grown more and more confident in who they are, that They Belong, and that Their Voice Matters!! 🗣️
