I’ve given this page a fresh new look as we head into the 2026–2027 school year, and I’m so excited for what’s ahead!

This space will continue to be a place for updates, resources, and support as we focus on student growth, connection, and well-being. I’m also looking forward to sharing new ideas, lessons, and tools that support both students and families throughout the year.

We are looking for community members to help us celebrate and support our 5th grade students!

Our 5th graders will soon be presenting their Profile of a Learner Defenses, where they reflect on their growth, share evidence of their learning, and demonstrate how they embody the Rowan County Profile of a Learner traits.

We are inviting local leaders, business owners, parents, and community partners to serve as panel members and listen to student presentations. Your presence sends a powerful message that our students’ voices matter and that our community values their hard work.

A repeat from last year but a fun activity they enjoy - 5th graders worked on reviewing testing strategies by breaking out of a zombie escape room during guidance! They learned the importance of effort, a positive attitude, focusing and reading all the info! 🧟‍♀️🧪📝
