The Math Department at Morehead State would like to congratulate Emily Blevins for being the first student from Morehead State University to receive an REU in mathematics. Emily will be traveling to Easton, Pennsylvania this summer to participate in a 9-week Research Experience for Undergraduates Program at Lafayette College. Her research will focus on the ordering of point sets with Dr. Carl Hammarsten.

Emily is a junior mathematics major from Pikeville, KY. She would like to thank the Morehead State University faculty and staff for their hard work in preparing her for this opportunity, and she would like to thank Dr. Tim O’Brien and Dr. Rachel Barber for writing recommendation letters and helping her throughout the application process.
