Do you enjoy learning new things? Have you always wanted to work with exciting animal species like birds, lizards, rabbits, pot-bellied pigs and opossums? Then, we have an opportunity for you! All Pets Veterinary Center is currently a two doctor full service veterinary hospital providing care for cats, dogs and exotics as well as wildlife. We are hoping to grow into a larger practice in the near future. We are seeking motivated, energetic, experienced veterinary technicians with an interest in learning high quality medical care for a variety of species. Our facility was newly built in 2010 and custom designed for the needs of our patients. We offer preventive care, extended vaccination schedules, in house laboratory and pharmacy compounding, digital radiography (routine and dental), preventive and advanced dental care, and soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. If you are chosen for this position, you will be instrumental in providing all aspects of medical care for our special patients. We are looking for a full-time employee, and this position will require both daytime, and occasional Saturday mornings. Salary will be determined based on experience. Benefits for full-time employees include 7 paid holidays, paid time off, retirement plan, and medical discounts for personal pets. Responsibilities of the position will include phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, anesthetic induction, monitoring and recovery of surgical patients, surgical patient preparation, cleaning, wrapping and preparation of surgical equipment, restraint and positioning for patient radiographs, dental prophylaxis and dental radiography, proper handling and diagnostics of lab samples, patient restraint and assistance to the veterinarian, client education and communication, and all aspects of patient care in the hospital. Intense training for handling and caring for all exotic patients will be provided. Your skill and value as a veterinary technician will be fully utilized and expanded. There's never a dull moment, but we have fun! This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse group of unique animals.

Morehead State University Veterinary Technology Program is extremely grateful for the partnerships we have with all our animal shelter/rescues. These partnerships allow our students the hands-on opportunities that prepare them for the profession.

Through a partnership with Saving the Animals of Rowan (STAR), MSU Veterinary Technology students are gaining hands-on clinical experience while helping animals in need. 🐾

Students work alongside faculty and veterinarians to provide care for rescued animals, developing real-world skills while supporting animal welfare in our region.
