College Application Week is the week when many North Carolina colleges and institutions waive their application fees for students applying to college on CFNC.org.This event is part of NC Countdown to College (C2C), a year-long initiative where we encourage students to complete the following three steps in college enrollment: residency, financial aid, and college applications.

So, check out the list now and start getting your students prepared for October!

Winter/Spring Scholarships

West Carteret High School Seniors Happy New Year! I want to share three scholarships the NCCF will be offering through the CC Retired School Personnel. The applications for these scholarships will be the NCCF Universal Applications, with applications due at 11:59 p.m. on March 3. Students will apply online and can find your scholarship through the NCCF Scholarship Search, as well as via the universal application itself.

The Carteret County Retired School Personnel Scholarship and the Geraldine Mayo Beveridge Scholarship are for students who are interested in becoming educators. The Wayne Schriever Math and Science Scholarship is also a scholarship we offer. Information was sent to student emails.

We partner with donors to administer scholarships for students across the state. Most NCCF scholarships open for applications on Dec. 16, 2025, and close on March 3, 2026.
