Hello, this is Mrs. Keating, the Principal at West Scranton Intermediate. We are very excited to welcome our students back for what we hope will be a fantastic school year. First, we appreciate your patience in the first few days. Our staff will be outside at 8:30 am to supervise and assist with the placement and the safety of our students. We ask all parents to drop students off in the lower parking lot, not the bus port and be at a distance that is separate from where the other students will be assigned. Cars should not double park and should be continually moving. 5th and 6th grade students should be in the front of the building on the right, which is the Parrot Avenue side and 7th and 8th grade students should be on the left front of the building, which is the Wright Center Side. Once in the building, 5th and 6th grade will be directed to the auditorium, where they will meet their homeroom teachers. 7th and 8th graders will report directly to their homerooms. Also, all students in grades 6,7, and 8 will be dismissed from the front entrance. 5th grade walkers and those that get picked up will be dismissed from the top parking lot exit.
