We have nearly reached our $20,000 fundraising goal on Snap! Raise!
Let’s keep the momentum going, we still have a few more weeks to go! This fundraiser directly supports the students and experiences that make our music program special, including new instruments and equipment, music and supplies, performances, trips, and other opportunities for our musicians throughout the year. With this incredible start, let’s use this momentum to have another record-breaking year and provide a meaningful, exciting, and memorable year ahead for our musicians.
Thank you for the incredible support, music families! We truly appreciate everything you’re doing to support our students and our program! 💚

This year‘s Music in the Parks trip at Knott’s was a whirlwind!

The strings and wind ensembles had some fun at Knott’s Berry Farm after performing at the Music in the Parks competition at Valencia High School in Placentia. Each ensemble won first place in their respective divisions and both ensembles also won Best Overall in the competition! That’s a lot of trophies! Congratulations to the students and Mr. Carlon! Thank you to Mr. Carlon, Mr. Duchai, and the parent chaperones for making this year’s trip such a success!

Videos can’t be shared simultaneously with photos in this page so they’ll be posted in the comments. If anyone has a video of the full string orchestra performance, please share!

Congratulations to Emily Yu on successfully auditioning and placing into the Ventura County Honor Orchestra for violin! Emily represented Chaparral and Moorpark as they
played high level literature such as "The Merry-Go-Round of Life" by
Joe Hisaishi and "Lujon" by Henry Mancini, among other songs. Seeing students enrolled in the music program succeed on a regional level is an inspiration!
