Help Us Launch FACS at Park Christian School!

We are so excited to start a Family & Consumer Sciences (FACS) program at Park Christian School! Our stoves, refrigerator, and sewing machines have arrived — thank you!

Now we need YOUR help with the start-up supplies! Mrs. Nikki Black created an Amazon Wish List with the items we need. Now we’re ready to fill those cabinets, drawers, and sewing stations with the supplies our students will need!

Mrs. Isaak spent most of her summer as a busy Mom Taxi, but she still found time to relax on a family cruise to Alaska to celebrate her dad’s retirement! As a bonus, she was in Seattle during the World Cup, where she finally got to experience the famous fish throwing at Pike Place Market—a fun connection to the “fishmonger” reference in Hamlet!

Mrs. Jost has been recharging this summer with lots of great family time! From college visits with Mads and driving with Clark to figuring out life as a football mom with Lincoln, fishing with Nathaniel, golfing with Josh, and enjoying some fun in Medora, it’s been a summer full of memories. 💙

She’s especially thankful for the time to focus on being Mom and is heading into the new school year feeling refreshed and ready!

Mrs. Huesman and her husband had a BIG summer—they bought a house! 🏡 In the midst of all the projects and unpacking, they made sure to take some time to relax and recharge with trips to and Northern California.

Now she’s ready for a new school year and is excited to meet all of her students this fall!

Mrs. Fisher has had a special summer of extra travel! The Fishers are blessed with a large family and enjoy heading back to the Southeast each summer for a couple of weeks to soak up time with them. The Fisher children also cashed in Christmas presents with some Minneapolis fun. And she also celebrated 20 years of marriage with a Caribbean cruise with her husband, John. She’s coming into the school year relaxed and with a full heart of sweet memories.

Miss Kangas made the most of her summer with a little bit of everything!

She coached summer strength & conditioning, helping students stay strong and active. She also headed west for some adventure—including whitewater rafting and hiking in the mountains—and even made it to the summit of Pikes Peak at 14,115 feet!

When she wasn’t coaching or exploring, she spent time nannying and enjoying some fun with kids, and squeezed in a trip to cheer on the Minnesota Golden Gophers!

A summer full of adventure, activity, family, and fun—and now she’s ready to bring that energy back to Park Christian!

We love seeing how our teachers recharge and make the most of their summers!
