🌟 STUDIO SPOTLIGHT: HENLEY SAUM 🌟

Studio R Griffeath is excited to welcome Henley Saum as the newest addition to the studio!

Henley is 13 years old and will be entering 8th grade at Horizon East Middle School in Moorhead. A dedicated and versatile young performer, Henley has already developed an impressive background in musical theatre while also pursuing training in voice, dance, orchestra, and choir.

Henley’s theatrical experiences include performing in the ensemble of Frozen Jr. with Horizon Middle School Theatre/Moorhead Community Education and playing Violet in Trollwood Children’s Theatre’s W***y Wonka KIDS in 2024. In 2025, she performed in the ensemble of Beetlejuice Jr., played Claire in Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and joined Totally Trollwood Musical as a Cheerleader in High School Musical Jr.

Her 2026 season has brought some exciting new opportunities, including playing Karen Smith in Mean Girls Jr. and Pearl Krabs in SpongeBob Youth Edition with Horizon Middle School Theatre. This summer, Henley returned to and took the stage as Race in Newsies Jr.

Henley’s musical interests extend well beyond the stage. She has studied voice for three years, played cello in the Horizon Middle School Orchestra for three years, and participated in the Horizon Middle School Honor Choir for three years. She also brings three years of dance training in jazz, lyrical, kick, and hip hop to her work as a performer.

From Violet and Karen Smith to Pearl Krabs and Race, Henley has already explored a wonderful variety of characters while building a strong and well-rounded foundation as a young artist. Her experiences in theatre, singing, dance, choir, and instrumental music give her so many avenues to continue developing her artistry.

We are thrilled to welcome Henley to Studio R Griffeath and look forward to being part of the next chapter of her artistic journey. We can’t wait to see where her continued training and love of performing take her next!

Every rehearsal brings more energy, sharper storytelling, and growing excitement as the talented cast of Trollwood Performing Arts School’s production of Newsies Jr. prepares for opening night. I couldn’t be more excited to cheer on Studio R Griffeath artists Brendan Griffeath, Cora Arce, Lucy Plankers, Cadence Schuessler, Makayla Emineth, and Zoey Parnow as they carry the banner and bring this beloved musical to life.

✨ Please join us in welcoming the newest artist to Studio R Griffeath—Laken Muller! ✨

A versatile performer with an impressive foundation in musical theatre, dance, and acting, Laken brings an exciting combination of stage presence, artistic curiosity, and dedication to every performance. As she enters her junior year at Wahpeton High School, she has already built a remarkable résumé while continuing to seek new opportunities to grow as an artist.

This summer, Laken is appearing in the Trollwood Performing Arts School’s production of Frozen, an exciting opportunity that reflects both her commitment to her craft and her continued artistic growth. We are thrilled to have her representing Studio R Griffeath on one of the region’s premier stages.

Laken’s theatrical experience spans a wide range of productions and characters, including Snoopy in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Tanya in Mamma Mia!, Babette in Beauty and the Beast, Annie in Annie Jr., Veruca Salt in W***y Wonka Jr., Alice in Alice in Wonderland, and Edward Tulane in The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. Her work also includes productions of The Sound of Music, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Wizard of Oz, Cinderella, and Frozen, where she also served as the understudy for Sven.

Beyond the stage, Laken has dedicated seven years to choir and has trained for five years in competitive dance, developing strong skills in tap, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, and hip hop. That broad artistic background gives her a dynamic performance vocabulary and a wonderful foundation for continued growth.

Please join us in welcoming Farrah Kelsh as the newest artist at Studio R Griffeath.

Farrah is entering her junior year at Fargo South high school and brings a diverse background in performance, movement, and musicianship. This summer, she is performing in the Kitty Dance Line in West Fargo Summer Arts intensive’s production of Cabaret, continuing to expand her experience as a versatile young performer.

Her previous stage credits at Fargo South include Young Kangaroo in Seussical, the Pregnant Woman in Express Line, and Dance Ensemble in High School Musical. Beyond the stage, Farrah dedicated 14 years to gymnastics and cheerleading, completed four years of dance training, plays violin with the Fargo South music program, and also enjoys playing guitar. These experiences have helped shape the discipline, artistry, and work ethic she brings to every performance.

We are excited to welcome Farrah to Studio R Griffeath as she continues to refine her vocal technique, develop her artistry, and pursue new performance opportunities. Her commitment to growth and broad artistic background make her an exciting addition to the studio.

Studio R Griffeath is pleased to introduce its newest artist, Matilda Young.

Matilda joins the studio with an impressive foundation as a performer. Having already portrayed a number of leading roles across musical theatre while building a strong background in voice, choir, dance, and instrumental music, she has established herself as a versatile young artist with exceptional promise.

Audiences have seen Matilda shine as Adelaide in Guys and Dolls Jr., Elsa in Frozen Jr., Katie Heron in Mean Girls Jr., and Sharpay in High School Musical Jr., while also appearing in Matilda Jr., Cinderella Jr., and Fargo North Theatre’s production of Evil Dead. Each performance has contributed to the growth of an artist who approaches every opportunity with dedication, confidence, and a genuine love for the stage.

Beyond her theatrical accomplishments, Matilda has invested in developing a well-rounded artistic foundation through three years of private voice study, three years of choir, and four years of dance training. She also broadens her musicianship as both a cellist and ukulele player, reflecting a commitment to continual artistic growth.

The next chapter of Matilda’s artistic journey is just beginning, and we look forward to sharing her 2026 performances and celebrating the accomplishments ahead. Welcome to Studio R Griffeath, Matilda!

✨ STUDIO SPOTLIGHT | ZOEY PARNOW ✨

Please join us in welcoming Zoey Parnow as the newest artist at Studio R Griffeath!

Zoey is 13 years old and will be entering 8th grade at Carl Ben Eielson Middle School this fall. Although she is still early in her theatre journey, she has already built an impressive list of experiences on stage. She made her musical theatre debut in The Little Mermaid Jr., where she performed as an Ocean Ensemble member and Seahorse, followed by the role of Mort in Orange Is the New Glass. Most recently, she appeared as Chief Ancestor #2 in Moana Jr., continuing to grow with each performance.

This summer, Zoey is continuing that momentum as a member of the cast of Newsies Jr. with Trollwood Performing Arts School, adding another exciting production to her growing résumé.

Music has been an important part of Zoey’s life for years. She has participated in school choir since 4th grade and earned places in Honor Choir during both 6th and 7th grade at Carl Ben Eielson. She also sang with the Fargo-Moorhead Youth Choir and plans to return this coming season. Her love of the performing arts extends beyond singing—this summer she completed Trollwood classes in Traditional Choir, Show Choir, Beginning Stagecraft, and Musical Theatre Dance, embracing every opportunity to grow as a performer.

Zoey’s artistic interests don’t stop there. She has trained in dance since the age of three, studying ballet, tap, and hip hop, and has been playing the viola in her school orchestra since 5th grade. She is also beginning to explore both the violin and acoustic guitar, demonstrating a genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for musicianship in all its forms.

We are thrilled to welcome Zoey to Studio R Griffeath and look forward to helping her continue to grow as a confident, expressive, and versatile artist. Be sure to follow along as we celebrate her accomplishments and share her exciting 2026 performance engagements in the months ahead!

Studio R Griffeath is excited to welcome Cadence Schuessler as its newest artist.

As Cadence prepares to begin her freshman year at Fargo South High School, she already brings an impressive foundation of musical theatre, choral singing, and musicianship. From her earliest performances with Missoula Children’s Theatre to productions throughout middle school, she has consistently embraced every opportunity to grow as a performer. We can’t wait to be part of her artistic journey and are excited to see all she accomplishes in the years ahead.

Cadence’s theatrical journey has included roles such as Guard #2 in Aladdin Jr., Andrina in The Little Mermaid Jr., Goldie Locks in Orange Is the New Glass, and Gramma Tala in Moana Jr. She has also appeared in Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon and was part of the children’s ensemble in Fargo North’s production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. This summer, she’s continuing to build on those experiences as a member of the ensemble in Trollwood Performing Arts School’s production of Newsies Jr.

Beyond the stage, Cadence is a dedicated and accomplished musician. She has been singing in choir for the past five years, earned a place in Honor Choir for three years at , participated in the Kodály Choir at Olivet Lutheran Church, and was selected for the Middle Level All-State Choir this past February. She also brings four years of cello study to her artistic training, developing the musicianship that strengthens every aspect of her performance.
