Over 500 books were given away to Moorhead youth at the Moorhead Public School’s District Showcase this evening… and I only got 1 picture! 🤪 (it was a busy night!)

And just like that, the first bin of books is gone! We restocked the books today and are so thankful for this wonderful opportunity to reach more youth in Moorhead!! ♥️

We are finding places to house some bins within Clay County Clay County Public Health and we are so excited!!

When you stop in to our WIC and Public Health Clinic, check out our newly added free children's book bin! Supported by Let’s Read MOORhead, these books are donated by community members to share books with local families. 📖

We had a booth at the Moorhead Public School District Showcase again this year, and it was great!!! We gave out around 350 books to Moorhead kiddos! ♥️

We have found that being at these events is the best way to reach our lovely Moorhead kids, so if you know of an event that would reach a bunch of our kids, please let me know!

Also, we have room to store more books now, so if you do any cleaning of your bookshelves, we would love to take any well-cared for books and games off of your hands! ♥️📚

The first bin is up and running!! So excited to get more placed around town as we get some things figured out! If you work at a place or know of a good spot in town that would reach a lot of our Moorhead youth that could use some extra books, please reach out!

Also, more donations would be greatly appreciated! We don’t have much left after the District Showcase!

We had a great time at the Moorhead Public School’s District Showcase! We gave out a little over 175 books/games and the kids were SO excited and thankful! Now, we go on the hunt for more books as we gave our nearly our whole supply! We will take donations at anytime and our goal is to have our bins out around town early next week! Please send us a message if you’d like to help!

More donations have come in and Lillian is hard at work getting them all stamped! So many fun games and books! Remember, you can donate new or gently used books, games, and/or coloring supplies at anytime!

We will have a booth at Moorhead’s District Showcase at the Career Academy tomorrow (3:00-6:00pm!) and I can’t wait to see how many educational materials we can get into the hands of the youth in Moorhead!

Hello everyone!

Thank you for visiting our page! The goal of “Let’s Read MOORhead” is to get educational materials (books, games, etc.) into the hands of all of Moorhead’s youth for FREE!

You may be asking yourself, “How does this work?” Great question! It’s easy… we get materials donated from community members that have items they don’t use anymore (in good condition) and make them readily available for the children of Moorhead at multiple sites!

If you have any educational materials that you would like to donate, please reach out via email or Messenger! Please keep in mind that we would like to make sure the supplies are in gently used to good condition.

What kind of materials are we looking for?
* books (picture or chapter! All levels welcomed!)
* memory games
* educational board games (please make sure all game pieces are included)
* playing cards
* coloring books/crayons
