Broadway Masterclass: Acting Through Song with Tanner James
Date & Time: March 24, 2026, 7:00 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada)
Host: Evan Little
Zoom Meeting Link: Join Here
Meeting ID: 857 0742 1322 | Passcode: 587571
Participant & Observer Instructions
To ensure the highest quality experience for everyone, please follow these technical guidelines:
• Device Setup: All participants must use a laptop for the Zoom meeting. Mobile devices often compress audio in a way that makes singing difficult to hear.
• Accompaniment: Please play your backing track on a separate device (such as a phone connected to an external speaker).
• Audio Balance: Do not play the track from the same laptop running Zoom. This allows us to hear the proper balance between the music and your voice.
• Material: Please have 16-32 bars (45–75 seconds) of your song ready to perform.
• Observers: You are encouraged to keep your cameras on to create a "live" feel for the performers and are invited to participate in the Q&A at the conclusion of the coaching.
Masterclass Agenda
I. Welcome & Introductions (7:00 PM)
• Introduction to Evan Little: Background on Evan’s career and the mission of Evan Little Arts Services (ELAS).
• Introduction to Tanner James: A deep dive into Tanner’s professional credits and his approach to storytelling through music.
II. Coaching Sessions
Each student will begin with a brief interview with Evan to discuss their background and goals before performing. Tanner will lead the acting coaching, with Evan providing supplemental vocal technique tips.
1. Evan Little — "It's Too Late" by Carole King
2. Kelly Kudlik — "The Beauty Is" from The Light in the Piazza
3. Maddox Ayres — "You're Welcome" from Moana
4. Jaxon Ayres — "Heather" by Conan Gray
5. Mike Mags — "Not While I'm Around" from Sweeney Todd
III. Closing & Special Offer
• Final Thoughts: Evan will offer a congratulatory wrap-up and general advice for the group's singing health and career longevity.
• The ELAS Offer: Every participant tonight receives a free 30-minute 1:1 repertoire coaching session with Evan Little to further refine their book.
IV. Open Q&A (Approx. 8:40 PM)
• An open floor for participants and observers to ask Tanner and Evan questions about the industry, acting technique, or vocal health.
