THANK YOU to all the students who came out to have a fun night at our Winter Olympics themed School Dance! 💃

We had a taste of Italy inspiration at our concession due to the Olympics being held in Milan Cortina this year. And students were welcomed with giant Olympic rings and an amazing Olympic torch as centerpieces inside the dance room. The skis were a hit with the students, but the music kept them going until the last minute. ✔️

We were so excited to have Polo’s Italian Water Ice as a vendor this year, too. They were kept busy all night. 🍧

We are so thankful for the parent volunteers and the staff who stay extra or leave and come back again, as well as the PTSO board for organizing. And a HUGE s/o goes to Monica Donaldson. She is listed as our treasurer, but she is the heartbeat of our PTSO and we couldn‘t do any of this without her. From crafting the skis and Olympic rings to all the fine tuning—she gets it done with a smile on her face. She is a true example of for our school community.

Hello MGSD families!

Did somebody say SNOW DAY? Due to this weekend’s snowy weather, all Mooresville Graded School District schools and facilities will be CLOSED on Monday, February 2.

Here are the details for Monday, February 2:

🔹 No Remote Learning: No Canvas or packets, just coats, mittens, and sleds!

🔹 Facilities Closed: All extracurricular activities, practices, and events are canceled.

📅 Calendar Update
To make up for the lost instructional time, Monday, February 9, which was originally scheduled as a Teacher Work Day, will now be a regular school day for all students.

We want our students, staff, and families to stay safe and warm. Whether you’re building a snowman or curling up with a good book, we hope you enjoy this rare snowfall here in NC!

Tomorrow‘s Hornets night out, has moved to afternoon ❄️

Game will start at 12pm. Doors open to public at 11am. Those who are taking part in the pre-warmup experience, please arrive by 10am with your tickets. 🏀
