🦁🍂 Hands-On Learning in Mrs. Holbrook’s Class! 🍂🏡

Our Langtree Lions took learning to a whole new level this morning! 💙💛

In preparation for next week’s field trip, Mrs. Holbrook’s class has been exploring Native American history and cultures, learning about traditional homes, natural resources, and the unique traditions of different tribes. 📚🌿

Today, students put their knowledge and creativity to the test! Working in teams, they were given a collection of materials with no instructions and no explanation! 🤔

Their challenge? Figure out what the materials represented, determine which type of traditional home they could be used to build, and then work together to construct it using ONLY what they were given!

🚫 No scissors!
🚫 No glue!
💡 Just teamwork, critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity!

And WOW, did our Lions rise to the challenge! 👏🦁

We love seeing our students learning through exploration, collaboration, and hands-on experiences! What a fun way to bring history to life! ❤️

Our kindergarten superstars in Ms. Moore’s class are working hard to become confident readers! 🌟

Students had fun reviewing their “heart words” by identifying and writing the missing letters to complete each word! ✏️❤️

This engaging activity helps our youngest Lions strengthen their letter recognition, spelling, and early reading skills while building a strong foundation for literacy success! 📖👏

We LOVE seeing our kindergarten students growing their skills and confidence one word at a time!

Our kindergarten Lions in Mrs. Benge’s class are becoming amazing young authors! 🌟

Students are learning how to write narrative stories about special events in their own lives using FIRST, NEXT, and LAST to put their ideas in order! 📝💭

We LOVE seeing Mrs. Benge introduce these important writing skills at such a young age! These little Lions are learning how to organize their thoughts, express their ideas, and bring their own stories to life! ❤️

👏 Way to go, Mrs. Benge and our kindergarten writers! Keep those creative minds growing! 🦁💙💛

🦁💙💛 Bringing Culture to Life in 5th Grade! 🌎📚✨

Ms. Hollar’s 5th graders are taking their reading skills on a cultural adventure! 🌍

Students explored a story that brought culture into the classroom, using graphic organizers to deepen their understanding, discover new vocabulary, and make meaningful connections to the text! 📝📖

They even incorporated maps to explore where the story takes place, connecting literacy, geography, and culture in one engaging lesson! 🗺️✨

We love seeing our Lions expand their knowledge, build critical thinking skills, and discover the world through reading!

👏 Way to go, 5th grade! Keep up the amazing work! 🦁💙💛

🦁💙💛 Learning is FUN in Kindergarten! 📚✨

Ms. LoFaso’s kindergarten class had a DUCK-tastic time reviewing their heart words! 🐥💛

Students were randomly selected using adorable little ducks, then took turns heading to the board to read their heart words and earn points for their class! 🎯👏

What a fun and engaging way to build reading confidence, practice important literacy skills, and encourage teamwork! 🌟

Way to go, little Lions! 🦁💙
