At Woodlawn, we believe every child is capable of extraordinary things.

Not in a vague, poster-on-the-wall kind of way. In the specific, demonstrated, visible kind of way. The kind where a kindergartner asks a question that changes the direction of a project. Where a tenth grader defends a thesis in front of a panel of adults who challenge the work. Where a senior graduates with a portfolio of real work, not just a transcript.

Woodlawn School has been educating PreK through 12 students in Mooresville, North Carolina since 2002. In that time, the belief hasn’t changed.

Extraordinary isn’t a bar students have to clear. It’s a condition we create together, every day, across every grade.

Celebrating Earth Day the Woodlawn Way🌎🌿

Our annual Earth Day celebration brought the community together for a special assembly filled with music, performances, and creativity. From our K-2 students singing We Will Love the Earth, to skits by our lower and middle school students, and a memorable bird migration performance by our 6th grade and JK buddies, the day was filled with appreciation for our Earth!

We also continued our tradition of the Trash-Free Family Tree Lunch, reminding us that small choices can make a big impact. Every day is Earth Day, but we love taking time to celebrate caring for our planet and protecting wildlife together. ♻️💚🐿️
