☀️ Field Day is almost here! ☀️
We are so excited for a fun-filled day of games, laughter, and outdoor activities! To help your student have the best day possible, please make sure they come prepared for the heat and sunshine.

✅ Wear comfortable clothes and athletic shoes
✅ Bring a hat and/or sunglasses
✅ Send a water bottle labeled with your child’s name
✅ Dress for warm weather — it’s going to be HOT!

☀️ Sunscreen Reminder:
Please apply sunscreen to your child before school. Per school policy, students must be able to apply sunscreen independently if they bring it to school. Staff members are unable to apply sunscreen to students.

📌 Important reminders for volunteers:
✅ A cleared background check is required to volunteer.
✅ Volunteers should be prepared to be outside for the majority of their shift.
✅ Volunteers will remain at their assigned station during Field Day activities.

We kindly ask that only approved volunteers attend Field Day activities, as spectators will not be permitted. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!

April's character trait was RESILIENCY. Way to go Dolphins 🩵💙

🕵️‍♂️ Fifth graders became “Reading Detectives” this week — mustaches and all! 📚🔍

Students reviewed important reading standards by reading passages, answering questions, and searching for “evidence” in the text to help solve the case! These detectives worked hard using critical thinking skills and text evidence to crack each mystery. 🧐✨

Great job, fifth grade detectives! 👏

This week we also celebrate National Nurses Week, and we are so grateful for the heart of our school—our amazing nurse! ❤️

From bandaging scraped knees to offering comfort when it’s needed most, she is a constant source of care, compassion, and calm for our students and staff. Her impact goes far beyond the health room—she helps keep our entire school community safe, supported, and ready to learn.

Thank you for all that you do. We appreciate you more than words can say 💙

There’s something special happening across grade levels! 💙✉️

Our 2nd graders put their hearts to work by writing letters of encouragement to our 5th grade students as they prepare for EOG testing. From kind words to thoughtful advice, these messages are full of positivity, support, and school spirit!

It’s moments like these that remind us how strong our school community truly is—lifting each other up and cheering one another on 🌟📚

A big shoutout to the Lake Norman High School Women’s Lacrosse Team for volunteering their time to support LNE. From greeting families to helping keep things running smoothly, their leadership and positive energy made a great start to the day!

🎉 Field Day Volunteers Needed! 🎉

We’re gearing up for one of the most exciting days of the year—FIELD DAY—and we need your help to make it a success!

Volunteers for Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade will help monitor activity stations and support students as they rotate through the fun. Volunteers for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade will take a more active role by running stations and giving directions to students.

☀️ Please note: Volunteer roles will be outdoors at the same station for the duration of the time slot. There will be some stations that will be using water.

Your time and energy help create an unforgettable day for our students—we truly appreciate your support!
