Grandparents Night – September 23 💙💛

Grandparents Night is almost here! We love giving our students the opportunity to show the special people in their lives what their school days look like. We’re expecting a great turnout this year and can’t wait to see everyone!

📅 Wednesday, September 23, 2026
⏰ 5:30–7:00 PM
📍 Northwood Elementary – Enter Door 1 or Door 2

This is a Title I and Northwood PTO sponsored event. Please be sure to sign in your entire party when you arrive, as attendance helps support Title I events and programming.

🍽️ Dinner & Meal Tickets
Dinner will include chicken & noodles, green beans, mashed potatoes, a brownie, and your choice of unsweet tea, lemonade, or water.

Meal tickets are $7 cash or $7.50 online/credit card and are required for both adults and students who would like dinner. Meal tickets are optional—you do not need to purchase dinner to attend Grandparents Night or participate in the activities.

Presale: September 1–10. Order forms will be sent home with students and may be returned with cash, or tickets can be purchased online at http://northwoodpto.ptboard.com. Presale tickets will be sent home with students in an envelope.

A limited number of meal tickets may be available at the door on a first-come, first-served basis. Families needing assistance with meal tickets may contact the school office or Miss Darney, school counselor.

🏫 What’s Happening That Night?
Activities will be throughout the building, games in the Makerspace and Library, dinner in the cafeteria, and the Book Fair in Room 9.

The Book Fair will be busiest from 6:00–7:00 PM and accepts cash and credit cards.

💙 Pioneer Gear & PTO Fundraiser
Tri County Sports will be onsite selling Mooresville Pioneers gear, with a percentage of sales donated back to the PTO. Northwood PTO merchandise will also be available. Funds raised during Grandparents Night will go toward new stage microphones for our choir and musical performances! A separate spirit wear fundraiser will also take place in October.

🚪 Arrival Information
Doors open at 5:30 PM. There will be two entry lines:
Door 1: Line along the sidewalk toward the playground
Door 2: Line along the sidewalk toward the parking lot

If grandparents are unable to attend, students are welcome to bring any special adult(s) in their lives!

A huge thank you to Izzy's AF Bar for stopping by Northwood today and serving drinks to our amazing staff on their first day back! ☕🧋

The Northwood PTO was happy to provide this small treat to help welcome our teachers and staff back for another great school year. We appreciate everything they do for our students and hope they enjoyed it! 💙💛🍎

We’re excited to introduce this year’s PTO Board! This group of dedicated volunteers is looking forward to partnering with our amazing staff, supporting our students, and helping create a fun and memorable school year for every Northwood family.

We’re already busy planning family events, fundraisers, teacher appreciation, and opportunities to bring our school community together. We can’t wait to see what this year has in store!
