Lesson openings for the Summer! I offer 30, 45, or 60 minute lessons and am excited to teach you, and meet you where you are on your journey with learning music. Complete beginners are welcome and encouraged, as well as advanced students.

Also, Music on Brawley LLC next open mic is this Saturday at Shoal's Grill in Mooresville! Come out to see some local musicians and my students. 7:00-9:00 PM. Setlist is already full but more than welcome to come by

The next open mic night will be at a new location at Shoals Bar & Grill in Mooresville, on Saturday June 6th! As usual, we'll have a decent crowd, an electric drumset, mics, and guitars on site, only this time we'll have a more private area for those who will be performing and watching!

If you or someone you know is interested in performing music or some other type of medium, be it poetry or comedy, feel free to sign up and share your performance with us.

All ages, family-friendly event. No charge, and enjoy some good eats from Shoals as well!

I'm excited to announce that our amazing violin teacher, Melanie Stokes, is offering a violin summer camp program! Starting on Monday June 1st through end of July.

Sprouting Strings is a beginner violin program developed by Melanie and is tailored to children aged four to seven. This unique program will introduce key musical concepts in violin playing, such as ear training, beginner music theory and fun, engaging musical games! Your little budding musician will gain confidence in playing an instrument for the first time!

The summer camp takes place Tusdays and Thurdays at 10:00 AM for 45 minutes. Parents have a place to relax at Melanie's home while she is teaching. The summer camp is $40 per day, and with the summer camp running for two months its $375 per month ($750 for both months).

We also have a solution for violin rentals at a discounted rate of $17 per month thanks to Bamford Fine Violins.

Merry Christmas! Student of the month of Decemeber goes to Ethan H. Ethan has been a student of mine since 2022, he started off on a 3 string guitar when he was maybe 5 or 6 years old. His parents and I started to notice he had a clear talent for music, and I was fortunate enough to be able to work with him regularly. I am also very grateful to his parents for being so supportive of his growth between lessons.

He is such a wonderful kid, and very knowledgable, loves to share fun facts with me. He has played a ton of music at this point, and he recently performed with me again at my open mic night at Summit Coffee and once again blew everyone's mind. I wanted to recognize him because we took a hiatus when I stopped driving to students for a while on Sundays - and I'm happy to see he has really grown as a musician and seems to be excited about guitar again. Way to go, Ethan!

The Student of the Month for november goes to Emma K, who has really surprised me in her improvement the last few months. She plays electric guitar. I've noticed she has really gotten a lot more comfortable doing power chords, navigating the fretboard, and has been able to jam with me during lessons a few times too. She definitely practices and I can see some very clear improvement! I am impressed with her resolve despite learning an instrument being a challenge at times. Go you, Emma!

Todays student of the month is Becca P, a student of mine I've worked with for about 2 years now. She has improved her playing to such a dramatic degree that I wanted to give her a formal recognition for her hard work and perseverance. Its cool to be able to play through entire songs with her now. Congratulations, Becca!
