There are few topics as dear to our team as providing a path to literacy for all young learners, including ELLs. Many states are integrating Structured Literacy and Science of Reading practices in order to improve literacy achievement. This transition will leave thousands of educators without the proper resources or training to implement these strategies.

At Folio, we began to create and test resources in the Spring of 2021. We will continue to support our educators in the field through this transition. Go to Foliok12.com for more resources. All resources are designed to support oral language, phonemic awareness, phonics (taught systematically). Make learning letter-sound skills fun with engaging visuals made to be memorable!

Meet Folio The instructional resources we always wanted.

Folio provides key instructional resources to educators (in-school and at-home). Graphic organizers, which can be used across all grades and subject areas, are effective tools to build critical thinking, problem-solving, comprehension, and communication skills for students. Retrieval, understanding, and higher order thinking skills are supported with these open-ended resources as visual paths for learning. With creative freedom, students are inspired and develop confidence in their ability to make connections.

Why did a team of educators and designers leave their jobs to create a collection of learning resources? To create the resources we wish we had as teachers in the classroom and at home.

As educators, we spent hours searching for learning resources that were correct AND could hold our student’s attention. We joined forces with a few amazing designers. We created visual aids that convey important, but abstract concepts to young kids.
