We are so proud to have hosted the 7th Annual Moorestown Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration on June 20th — an afternoon filled with live music, dance, visual art, storytelling, and the kind of community joy that reminds us exactly why this work matters.
Perkins Center for the Arts is honored to serve as the home for this celebration and to stand alongside the Moorestown Juneteenth Committee and our incredible local partners — some longtime collaborators, some joining us for the first time this year — who pour their hearts into making this event happen every June: Dr. James Still Historic Office Site & Education Center, Bethel AME Church Moorestown NJ, Camden FireWorks, MooreUnity, Better Together Moorestown and more. This event belongs to this community — and it shows.
We are grateful to Senator Troy Singleton, Moorestown Mayor Quinton Law, and Deputy Mayor Chris Keating for their support and presence — thank you for showing up for the community.
And a special shoutout to Carl's Shoes for sponsoring this year's event shirts for tie dye!
Here's to 7 years of Freedom Day in Moorestown. We'll see you at year 8.
