BAYADA Education

Thank you to our partners at BAYADA Home Health Care for supporting our mission and providing an overview of our work.

The inaugural cohort of BAYADA Scholars is currently completing community health rotations with BAYADA Home Hospice. Students have shared that the experience has been valuable in expanding their understanding of care beyond the hospital setting while deepening their appreciation for how the BAYADA Way guides care in the home and community.

BAYADA Education was founded to answer a critical need: more great nurses, better prepared to meet the challenges of today’s health care environment.

Launched in 2023 through the vision and generosity of Ann and Mark Baiada, BAYADA Education grew out of a small team from BAYADA Home Health Care determined to reimagine nursing education. Though BAYADA Education is a separate nonprofit, it’s rooted in the same values that guide The BAYADA Way.

BAYADA Education champions a collaborative model of nursing education that brings higher education and health systems together to advance clinical excellence. This new model took shape with the launch of the Thomas Edison State University Accelerated BSN BAYADA Scholars Track at Cooper University Health Care.

The BAYADA Scholars Track offers a fully reimagined clinical experience, immersing students in hands-on training at two of the region’s most respected health care organizations. Three cohorts are currently enrolled, with the first class expected to graduate in December 2025.

Today we’re celebrating two nurse leaders who are reimagining clinical preparation and transforming the way students learn at the bedside.

Gloria F. Donnelly, Ph.D., RN, FAAN, FCPP and Krystal Sokolowski, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, CNL are reshaping nursing education by creating a data-driven clinical training model that helps students build the skills, confidence, and critical thinking needed to succeed at the bedside in modern nursing.

As National Nurses Week begins, we’re honoring the educators who shape the future of nursing. Today we celebrate the nurse educators at Thomas Edison State University who teach students what it means to think like a nurse. From foundational skills to complex clinical reasoning, these educators have a lasting and profound impact.

It's been an exciting week for BAYADA Education partner Cooper University Health Care. The BAYADA Scholars are already sharing glowing reviews of their clinical experiences at Cooper. We look forward to a bright future creating exceptional clinical experiences for the next generation of extraordinary nurses, together.

We are proud to announce that students in the inaugural cohort of the Thomas Edison State University (TESU) Accelerated BSN BAYADA Scholars Track at Cooper University Health Care have officially started their journey toward becoming compassionate and skilled nurses.

In just a few short weeks, students are already immersed in hands-on learning in a state-of-the-art simulation lab and will begin clinical rotations at Cooper University Hospital next week. These dedicated students have already formed strong bonds, creating a close-knit community built on support, shared goals, and a passion for patient care. As they begin their rigorous studies and clinical experiences, they are also building lifelong friendships that will carry them through nursing school and beyond.

It’s truly inspiring to see how they uplift one another, collaborate, and foster a sense of community as they work toward making a positive impact in health care. The BAYADA Education family is proud to support them every step of the way.
