What a 2026 OKPTA Convention! This year’s convention had a lot of things in store for Central Elementary PTA and we didn’t even realize how much we already accomplished! Our unit was a Star Unit, got to present on our experience with the Ready, Tech, Go! National PTA grant that we were awarded, and most importantly, we were awarded with the Oklahoma PTA Advocacy Award. That was a huge surprise and we are so grateful that we are able to advocate for our Central community. Along with our unit achievements, Moore Council PTA was awarded as Oklahoma PTA Council of the Year! Thank you for your support and let’s keep working together to support the PTA mission!

What a weekend for Moore PTAs!

We are incredibly honored to share that Moore Council has been named the 2026 Oklahoma PTA Council of the Year! ❤️💙

First and foremost, thank you to the incredible unit leaders who gave up part of their summer break to attend convention. Your willingness to invest your time in learning, growing, and bringing new ideas back to your schools is what makes our entire council stronger. We are so grateful for your commitment to the students, families, and communities you serve.

This recognition reflects the incredible work happening across all 34 of Moore Public Schools PTAs. Throughout the year, our leaders have supported one another, built meaningful partnerships, strengthened advocacy efforts, and remained focused on one shared mission: making every child’s potential a reality.

Convention was also filled with exciting recognition for our units:

⭐ Central Elementary PTA received Oklahoma PTA’s new Advocacy Award in recognition of their outstanding advocacy efforts and were also invited to present a workshop alongside National PTA!

⭐ South Lake Elementary PTA earned the Top Membership Award and was recognized for achieving 107% membership!

⭐ Central and Earlywine PTAs were also recognized for having four board members attend convention, reflecting their commitment to continued leadership development.

We are especially proud to have five students participate in Oklahoma PTA’s first ever Youth Delegation. These students worked alongside other teens from across Oklahoma to begin building a new organization from the ground up, one designed to empower young people and give student voices a more prominent seat at the PTA table. Watching them help shape the future of PTA was one of the most meaningful parts of the weekend.

We couldn’t be more proud of every volunteer, leader, member, principal, teacher, and community partner who helped make this year such a success. This recognition belongs to every PTA volunteer across Moore Public Schools, and we’re excited to continue building on this momentum together.

This weekend Central Elementary PTA leaders (and some teachers!) are attending Oklahoma PTA Convention 2026 in Broken Arrow. We can’t wait to bring back fresh ideas, renewed energy, and a great group of leaders for the upcoming school year! Check back here for more pictures throughout the weekend!
