📚 **Get Ready to Read! Our Dawkins Read-A-Thon Is Coming!** 📚

R. P. Dawkins Middle School is excited to announce that we’re participating in a **Read-A-Thon** this year! 🎉

Our Read-A-Thon begins **Monday, August 24, 2026**, and we hope EVERYONE will join us!

Read-A-Thon is a fun and easy way to get students excited about reading while giving family and friends an opportunity to encourage them along the way. It’s also a great way to help students build stronger reading skills. 📖❤️

About a week before the Read-A-Thon begins, families will receive instructions for activating your child’s personal reader page, where you can record and follow their reading progress.

iReady testing is next week!

R. P. Dawkins Middle School has decided to hold a Read-A-Thon this year!

Read-A-Thons actually get your reader excited about reading and it gives friends and family the opportunity to encourage your child to read even more.

Our Read-A-Thon starts Monday August 24, 2026.

About one week before our Read-A-Thon starts we will send home instructions on how to activate your reader's personal page. This is where you will be able to view and record their progress.

A new school year is officially underway!
