🔥 Stomp Dance Practice at 2:00 PM
🍽️ Potluck at 3:00 PM
🗣️ Chickasaw Language Class at 4:00 PM (language classes will rotate on Sundays)

Ladies, please bring a skirt if you'd like to participate in the Stomp Dance. Feel free to bring a snack or easy-to-share dish for the potluck. Bottled water will be provided.

Come spend the afternoon learning, sharing, and connecting with one another!

FOCUS ON MPS ALUMNI: Taylor Broadbent. Taylor is a 2019 Moore High School Graduate, a citizen of the Cherokee Nation, with Master of Public Policy and Management, on her way to the University of North Carolina to pursue her Doctorate. She is the daughter of Jerry Broadbent, MPS S.T.E.P. Principal at Vista Academy. Save the Date: Thursday, September 24, 2026, for "Heritage and Culture Night". MPS Native A.C.E. Moore JOM is partnering with MPS English Language Learner (ELL) program for a "Heritage and Culture Night" to highlight various cultures in Moore Public Schools. See the flyer for more information about the event: THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2026, 5:45-7:45 p.m. at SOUTHMOORE HIGH SCHOOL COMMONS AREA. Various foods, music, dance and cultures will be highlighted.

OKC Metro Native American Ed HANDGAME TOURNAMENT, hosted by Moore Public Schools Native American Academic & Cultural Enrichment program Moore JOM, will be September 15, 2026, 6:00-7:30 p.m., Supper starting at 5:30 p.m. at Southmoore High School, 2901 S Santa Fe Ave. Rules of this fun game will be reviewed beforehand. Come join the fun and cheer on the current OKC Metro Handgame Champions, Moore Public Schools!

Day #4 of MPS JOM SummerProgram!!  We went to the Wichita mountain area, went to the Buffalo reserve, stopped at the Holy City and had lunch, and went to Medicine Park Aquarium.  It was a great day with a wonderful group of students!

Day #3 of MPS JOM Summer Program! We went to THE EAGLE AVIARY in Shawnee. What a beautiful experience! Then we toured the CITIZEN POTAWATOMI NATION MUSEUM before heading over to the park for a picnic and outdoor fun. It was a great day with a wonderful group of students!

Day #2 of MPS JOM Summer Program! We went to ARTSPACE at Untitled in OKC. Students created their own print design etched into linoleum and then used an press to create their designs on T-shirts. It was a great day with a wonderful group of students!
