Johnson O’Malley (JOM) is a federally funded program designed to meet the unique needs of Native American Students in the Moore public school system. Our goals are to promote academic achievement, improve attendance and graduation rates, and promote understanding of Native American culture. The JOM Program consists of a Parent Committee that works with the public school district staff to provide advice and assistance in all aspects of developing proposals for special Indian education and in reviewing the planning, implementation and evaluation of education projects for Indian students including cultural awareness projects.

Help us WIN the OKC Metro Handgame Tournament, November 5!
Moore Public Schools is the REIGNING CHAMPION of the OKC Metro Handgame Tournament.
We need our students to help make it a Three-Peat!
Handgame is fun, fast-paced and easy to play! PreK to 12th grade, all can join and bring championship power!
The rules and everything students need to know about how to play will be taught just before the games begin.
Let's kick off Native American Heritage Month with this fun competition among EIGHT other OKC Metro Schools' Native American Education Groups!
Thursday, November 5, 2026, at Central Junior High Gym (where our Powwow is each year)
Refreshments served, starting at 5:30 p.m. Competition starts at 6:00

’26-27 Moore JOM Princess Naumi Chibitty and other select OKC metro area Native Royalty hosted the Tribal Lands & Environmental Forum Cultural Night at Okana. The princesses participated in grand entry, gave a tribal greeting to all in attendance, and participated in social dancing with the Oklahoma Fancy Dancers. Nialisa Longhorn

Her Lakota name is “Appears Twice Woman”. She is Absentee Shawnee, Cheyenne River Sioux and Northern Arapaho.
Nialisa is starting her Senior year at Southmoore High School, she continues to row for OKC Riversport Juniors on the Varsity Crew, and she is the Vice President of the OKC Native Youth Council.

Lakota is a graduate of Southmoore High School Class of 2024. She is Absentee Shawnee, Cheyenne River Sioux and Northern Arapaho.
Lakota is starting her 2nd year as a student at OCCC majoring in Education, she serves as the Co-President for the OKC Native Youth Council, and serves on the US rowing committee for Collegiate Impact Movement.
